In order to speed up the construction of a new socialist countryside and actively do practical and good deeds for farmers and herdsmen, last year, Kuqa County implemented the "Light Up" project on a pilot basis in Yaha Town. Solar street lights use solar energy as energy and have a service life of 20 to 25 years. It not only provides safety guarantee for people to travel at night, but also greatly saves power resources, so that natural energy can be fully utilized and utilized.
Kuqa County is located on the northern edge of the Tarim Basin and is rich in oil, natural gas, coal mines and other resources. There is Guodian Kuqa Power Generation Co., Ltd., which has a great influence in southern Xinjiang. Nevertheless, in order to maximize energy conservation and clean the environment, the county plans to install solar street lights in other towns and villages in combination with the construction of new rural areas.
